Evaluation Question 1 - Kirtan

I have embedded clips and footage of similar products and the product I constructed within the Radio Trailer and Documentary Prezis. This may take some time to load, so you may have to wait a few minutes. I unfortunately couldn't put the full video I created for answering Question 1 for the Documentary on Blogger, So I had to split up the clip into different convention sections and place it on Prezi.

Evaluation Q3 Focus Group Questions

Monday, 23 February 2015

Production/Constructions are complete!

Our productions and constructions are now complete. We have finished the 5 minute documentary, radio trailer and magazine article. We are now moving onto our evaluation individually. For question 3 we are doing a focus group to give us feedback together, but we will analyse the feedback seperately.

Magazine Article

We decided to do a Q&A session with the documentary maker as our magazine article. This helps promote the documentary's true intention from the creator itself, and lets the audience trust it that bit more. We also did a separate column related to the documentary. We decided to add this as we saw this feature commonly occurring within our real products research. We picked Jamie Oliver due to the fact that he's related to young people's health within the media.

Magazine Draft

Since our documentary would be airing on BBC Three, the magazine we would put it in is in Radio Times or TV and Satelite magazine. Our draft combines both the typical layouts of both magazines Double page spreads.

Moving onto magazine

We've now completed our radio trailer and we are moving onto our magazine listings article which promotes our documentary.

We also need to research for conventions when creating or magazine article, we can also reuse our InDesign skills we have learned in AS media studies.

Codes and Conventions of Radio Trailers

After we did our analysis of Radio Trailers, we discussed what the Codes and Conventions were of Radio Trailers. Once we decided which features were codes and conventions, we summarised this and which conventions we were going to use.

The purpose of this task is to consolidate our understanding of codes and conventions of Radio Trailers, so that we can apply this to our own trailer and summarise our codes and conventions, and also which codes and conventions we are going to use.

Radio Trailer channel research - Kirtan

Radio trailer work

Most of our editing is complete now and we are moving onto our radio trailer work.
The Radio trailer needs to be at least 30 seconds long and 60 seconds maximum in length and has to advertise our documentary.

One of the first things we need to do is analyse other radio trailers so that we can learn new conventions to use in our own radio trailer.
