documentary modes

Why did we need to know all about the things we posted?

We needed to know all about the things we posted because we need to develop out theoretical skills for our exam. The exam requires us to reflect on how we have developed our skills through previous coursework assignments. We also need to know about these things for research of the current coursework project we are doing. This will benefit us when it comes to making the actual documentary.

Diary Entry

Skills Used: Blogger, Microsoft Word, Internet explorer etc.

Strengths: We have added more posts, communication, researching skills.
Weaknesses: We are not adding enough posts.

What is a documentary?

From doing this research I have learned what the definition of a documentary is, the purpose of it and some of the different types of documentaries. This information could be used to help form our documentary as we now know what we need to include to make our documentary successful. It needs to be informative and educating but also entertaining.

Brief

We as A2 Media students have been tasked with creating a five minute opening of a documentary on a topic of our choice, a radio trailer and a double page spread magazine listings page. This all starts off with the research and planning section of the coursework. This is worth 20 marks. We then move on to the actual task of creating the documentary opening, the radio trailer and the double page spread. The actual documentary is worth 40 marks, while the radio trailer and the double page spread listings is worth 10 marks each. After we have completed this process we have to do the evaluation section, which is where we reflect on the task we did. This is worth 20 marks. We are very much looking forward to this experience on working on this coursework
